Interaction of science and society: modern Russian sociological studies

Science as a social institution that has great impact on the formation of human capital deserves special attention. Of particular importance in this context is issue disseminating scientific knowledge and increasing interest science general. The article discusses dynamics studying issues interaction between society. purpose to present an overview main areas sociological studies conducted by Russian researchers field examining society both at federal regional levels. exploration problem carried out scientists from such fields sociology, psychology, philosophy, journalism, economics, etc. Basing analysis sources, author revealed research several directions.
